April Fools!

Hi everyone! It's Libby. Most of you probably know that yesterday was April Fools Day. Well, I didn't plan on celebrating this holiday barely at all. But,you never can tell.
So, I was just at home, playing on my phone, (you see, Marie-Grace was over at the Walkers for the day ) so I had just about nothing to do. It was weird, because once I thought I herd someone coming in, but when I looked up and called I didn't see or hear a thing.
After oh, I don't know, about a half hour, I herd the door slam and my friend Liz Miller shout: "Hey Libby! You in here? Is it all right if I come in and play with you? I've got two free hours!" I looked up in surprise. "All, right, I guess. But first, can I finish this game?" "Don't mind!" said Liz plopping down to pet the dogs.
In about two minuets I hopped down and said: "So, have any idea what you want to do or did you just-" I stopped short both in body and words. "Liz, why can't I walk anywhere?"
Liz was snickering. I twisted about and started laughing myself. My ankles were tied to the rungs of the bunk bed ladder with string! It was so funny looking I couldn't stop giggling!

Liz assisted in the uniting processes. While uniting me explained that she had been the person coming in earlier. "I wanted to prove that when you're on your phone it's exactly as if you're asleep! I did it too!"
Then, while Liz looked at "Gigglets" I played a trick on her.
I stuffed the toes of her shoes with tissue paper!
"Hey Liz, let's go outside!" Liz looked up, surprised, then said dubiously: "It's kind of cold." You can wear Marie's coat and it's not all that cold, come on Liz, it'll be fun!" I replied, all in one breath.  "All right" she said, still looking at me a little strangely.
When she was ready to get on her shoes, I tried desperately  to get her attention. "Look Liz, I can do the splits! Well, kind of."  "That's cool Libby, really cool. Hey, do you know why my shoes won't get on?"
Then, finding the stuff in her shoes said: "Libby, you had something to do with this, didn't you?"
Then, like Liz, I started laughing hysterically while Liz pulled tissue paper from her shoes. "You know, I'd still like to go outside." I said. Liz agreed, and so out we went.
"So," said Liz, once we were outside, "anything special you wanted to do outside?" " Let's just, uh, walk  around a little."
So we walked and walked and walked until we finally walked around a tree and beheld this strange sight.
"Libby, I know those are marshmallows." proclaimed Liz in a slightly exasperated tone. "So they are!" I said, a wee bit disappointed that she had figured it out so quickly. "Let's eat them!"
"Hey, Libby," "What?" I asked, turning to face her while swallowing my last marshmallow. "Libby, I think you just eat a bug." I stared at her for about 20 seconds then started talking. "What! Why didn't you tell me?! I am not accustomed to eating bugs and I did not exactly want to start today! What kind of bug do you think it was anyway?" But Liz was laughing. "Libby, calm down! It was a joke! An April fools day joke!" In about 5 seconds, I was laughing too! "You really got me there Liz! I guess now we're even now aren't we?"
Later we thought to shake on it.
Now I think unexpected visits and jokes are so much fun!! What about you?
Do you like jokes and unexpected visits?

Mardi Gras Masquerade

Hi all! Libby here. Now, I don't know if you've even herd of Mardi Gras. I only know about it from a book I read. This is how the dictionary defined it: a carnival held in some countries on Shrove Tuesday, most famously in New Orleans. Now it just so happens that our friend Liz Miller had also herd of Mardi Gras and had invited us over for a costume party at her house.
Side Note: This is Marie's newest painting. Isn't it pretty?
We all forgot about masks. One simply must have masks at a Masquerade mustn't one? So, I photo edited these masks in.
While Marie-Grace and Liz had a talk...........
I snagged a cookie from the bowl! Yum!
"You know what?" said Liz to Marie, "I read a book about thieving Indians recently. Hem, hem Libby. Why don't you wait for the rest of us?" "Well than," I replied, "Let's dig in!"
"You know," I remarked, grabbing the last cookie, "At the Mardi Gras party I read about, there was dancing."
"Well then," said Liz, trying to sound grand, "We shalt dance." So we swept around the room, tripping over each other's feet.
After that we played a game called "Don't laugh Copycat!" Here are Our best pictures of that.

Before we had to leave, I had a nice long talk with Liz. I always have lots of fun with her.
Did you Celebrate Mardi Gras?

Valentine's day and a Visit with Old Friends

Good day pleasant readers! Yeah, Hi! First of all, we are really sorry we haven't posted in a long time but at lest we're posting now right?  Anyway,we are going to tell you about our Valentine's day party and our visit with our old friends, Caraline  and Katie Janssen. Yep, so let's get going!
We had Sagie, Addy, Jubilee, and Liz over on Valentine's day. We invited Alexandra, but she couldn't come. I don't remember why.
Every one brought food. It was great!
On Sunday afternoon we drove down to Nanna and Poppa's house. The above and below pictures are from the next day. Schoolwork took a lot less time there. I'm not sure why.
After finishing our work, Kristen showed us her father's new sword (it wasn't sharp, thank goodness). He bought it at some place called knife cave.
After that, Kristen and I painted each other's nails while Samantha and Libby talked and ran around.
Then something funny happened. Samantha, after flopping down on the bench said : "I can't wait till Katie and Caraline get here. Maybe I'll get a rest."  She breathed in and out deeply, pretending to be exhausted. Marie and I stared at her. Katie and Caraline were old friends from the year were we lived in Aurora. "Oh, I guess we forgot to tell you they were coming, didn't we?" "Well, that's just it. We invited Addy and Jubilee over and forgot to tell you!" I exclaimed, finally finding my voice. After general exclamations of surprise, we all laughed together.
A little while later, Libby flung up her arms while almost shouting: "Katie, it's soooooooo great to see you again! It's been forever!!!!!!
Meanwhile, Marie shook hands with Caraline in a very proper manner.

Caramel and Vanilla were happy to see Pepper, to!
Just then, Addy and Jubilee came in and we had introductions.
We had much enjoyment with everyone there (we even put on a play, although no one bothered to take pictures of it). In other words, we were very sad when they left at six o'clock.
The next day, (after schoolwork) I really wanted to go outside.
We both went. That is, Libby played and I took pictures. On the tire swing.....
The monkey bars..........
In the sandbox......
And my personal favorite, on the trampoline.

Then Libby and I went up to the  tree house and had a long talk about everything and nothing, as only sisters can. Now we are back home. I was really sad to leave Nanna's. So was I, but it is good to be home.
What did you do for Valentine's Day?
When was the last time you saw an Old Friend?
