Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you all! Marie and I had a fab Christmas!
As is our tradition, we went down to our Grandmother's house for Christmas. It was decorated quite extensively.
The Walkers came too, bringing with them another adopted girl from England named Sarah Wakestand.
My favorite gift was a watch given to me by the Walkers. The amusing thing was, that our family also gave Addy a watch!
My favorite gift was Veggie Tale's "Lord of the Beans". We watched it to end out our night, and by the end of the movie, we were all laughing! The next day we came back home.
Yesterday, from 6:00 to about 9:30, we had a fabsome New Year's Eve costume party. This picture is of signs that say Happy New Year in lots of different languages.
There was lots of FOOD and games.............
.............and a costume contest! I was dressed up as a pajama fashionista in the new PJs I got for Christmas. Jewel wasn't sure what she was. At first she was going to be a gypsy, but then we thought she looked more like a Hispanics girl or a pirate queen. She never really decided. And I was a flower nymph.
What is your favorite way to celebrate Christmas and New Year's?

Happy Birthday Addy!

Good day pleasant readers! Indeed, today was Addy's Birthday. She decided to have a tea party. It was lovely.

Libby was excited about her petit four (a small cake), but not her tea.
We were all excited about the homemade strawberry ice cream. Addy's mother make it.
After we finished eating, Addy was ready to open her gifts.
One of the main things we said in our card was that her present would be coming in the mail.
Jubilee gave her a sparkling angel pin. Isn't it beautiful?
Said Addy: "It has been a wonderful birthday."
Said I: "I'm so glad I have you for my friend. You are a real blessing."
What do you do for your birthday?

St. Patrick's Day with the Walkers

Hi all! Libby here. Yesterday was great. Addy and Jubilee came over and we did lots of stuff (like tag, pictured above).
After playing outside, we all made a leprechaun trap. We didn't put LEPRECHAUN TRAP on it because the leprechauns might see it.
The night before, Marie and I made posters to put up all over the house. I made this one. We tried to think up leprechaun sayings to put on our posters and in the night a leprechaun put the sticky notes on them.
Oh, and we also played hide-and seek outside. Here, Marie-Grace is finding Jubilee. Altogether, it was a great St.  Patrick's day.
How do you celebrate St. Patrick's Day?

Valentine's day and a Visit with Old Friends

Good day pleasant readers! Yeah, Hi! First of all, we are really sorry we haven't posted in a long time but at lest we're posting now right?  Anyway,we are going to tell you about our Valentine's day party and our visit with our old friends, Caraline  and Katie Janssen. Yep, so let's get going!
We had Sagie, Addy, Jubilee, and Liz over on Valentine's day. We invited Alexandra, but she couldn't come. I don't remember why.
Every one brought food. It was great!
On Sunday afternoon we drove down to Nanna and Poppa's house. The above and below pictures are from the next day. Schoolwork took a lot less time there. I'm not sure why.
After finishing our work, Kristen showed us her father's new sword (it wasn't sharp, thank goodness). He bought it at some place called knife cave.
After that, Kristen and I painted each other's nails while Samantha and Libby talked and ran around.
Then something funny happened. Samantha, after flopping down on the bench said : "I can't wait till Katie and Caraline get here. Maybe I'll get a rest."  She breathed in and out deeply, pretending to be exhausted. Marie and I stared at her. Katie and Caraline were old friends from the year were we lived in Aurora. "Oh, I guess we forgot to tell you they were coming, didn't we?" "Well, that's just it. We invited Addy and Jubilee over and forgot to tell you!" I exclaimed, finally finding my voice. After general exclamations of surprise, we all laughed together.
A little while later, Libby flung up her arms while almost shouting: "Katie, it's soooooooo great to see you again! It's been forever!!!!!!
Meanwhile, Marie shook hands with Caraline in a very proper manner.

Caramel and Vanilla were happy to see Pepper, to!
Just then, Addy and Jubilee came in and we had introductions.
We had much enjoyment with everyone there (we even put on a play, although no one bothered to take pictures of it). In other words, we were very sad when they left at six o'clock.
The next day, (after schoolwork) I really wanted to go outside.
We both went. That is, Libby played and I took pictures. On the tire swing.....
The monkey bars..........
In the sandbox......
And my personal favorite, on the trampoline.

Then Libby and I went up to the  tree house and had a long talk about everything and nothing, as only sisters can. Now we are back home. I was really sad to leave Nanna's. So was I, but it is good to be home.
What did you do for Valentine's Day?
When was the last time you saw an Old Friend?

A fun day with Saige and Alexandera

Hi all! Libby here. You might have observed in our last post the possibility of some friends coming over. If you didn't notice this, HERE is the link. Anyway, the original girl we were expecting got sick so only her friends Saige and Alexandera Kremke could come. Alexandera's twin sister Jasmine was unable to come.
They were to arrive a bit after 9:00 am on Saturday morning. It was so hard to wait till then!
We had also invited Liz Miller, a new friend of ours. ( to find out how we met Liz, click HERE .) She arrived early. " Lovely to see you again, Liz. " said Marie-Grace warmly. " Hey, I like your dress." I welcomed her, " It's very, um, funky."
Next, Alexandera and Saige walked in our door. "Hi!" I greeted them, " I'm Libby!" "Hi." they said together, then we all laughed.
Then in came Jubilee Walker, followed by her older sister, Addy. Jubilee is my BFF.
Caramel was very excited with so many  people there.
There certainly was a lot of us! I thought it was time for a game.
We decided to play musical chairs, with the girls as the chairs. Jubilee and Liz won that.
After that, we played a fun game that I will explain the rules to. There is one person in the middle, while the others sit in a circle around that person. The person in the middle points to a random person in the circle and says a word that they must think up a rhyme to before the person in the middle counts to ten. The thing is, the person in the middle can count to ten as fast as they want. If the person can't think up a rhyme before the person in the middle counts to ten, they are the next person in the middle.
 That was great fun.
Before they had to leave, Saige, Addy, Marie-Grace, and I took a walk around our property. It was nice and warm, so we didn't need our coats. Saige took hers anyway. She said she was used to wearing it.
We all took some individual photos of each other. First Saige........
...... then Marie-Grace......
..... then Addy.............
.... and last but definitely not lest was me. I really enjoyed spending time with the Kremkes.
When was the last time you made a new friend?
