Fall News

 Good day pleasant readers! Hey, all! Today we have four bits of news and we will save the most exciting for the last. 1: Fall is incredibly pretty right now! While in town today, I gathered these great mums at our church and Marie got some pretty fall leaves to press in a book. 2: I am making a new dress for Washington DC. We will probably post about that later. 3: It is only 11 more days till we leave for Washington DC! I can't wait!!!! And 4 (drum roll please):We have found out why Mom and Dad were acting so mysterious (see HERE)! They decided to keep this fact for a surprise. I don't see how they managed! Mom and Dad are going to be foster parents! We are going to be fostering a girl named Jewel, and she is in between Libby and I in age. She lives near DC, so we will pick her up when we go there! Isn't that to cool?! We're getting a ready made sister (for a while)! Oh, Libby.

Home alone

 Hello lovely readers! It is true, that a few days ago Liberty and I were left at home while mother and father went to a meeting.

 As soon as I finished my schoolwork, I settled down with a good book.

 Libby however, was not so easily satisfied. First, she tried to call and talk to our cousins who live in Florida.

 After  two tries, Libby decided to practice her cartwheels. As you see, Caramel wasn't much of a help. Finally, she sat down, dejected.

 "Why don't we watch a movie?" I suggested, wanting to cheer her up. "That's a great idea!" Libby exclaimed.

 Very soon, we were huddled in Libby's old quilt before the T.V.

 We decided on watching Narnia, The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe. Just in case you are not familiar with this story I will give you a summery. Peter, Susan, Edmund, and Lucy are sent to the country because of the bombing raids on London.

 In the house were they are staying Lucy finds a magical land inside a wardrobe.

 Although it is summer in England, it is winter in this new land.

 She learns from a faun that it is always winter in Narnia. Because of the White Witch. The White Witch commanded this faun, named Tumnus,to turn over to her any human he found, so she could kill it. Mr. Tumnus decides not to turn Lucy in, even though there could be consequences for him. Later, all of the children get in.

 While we watched Libby and I eat some sweet things. I eat  a candy cane.

 Libby eat some of the gum she had got in her boot (See last post).

 Edmund having decided to betray them, goes to the White Which's castle. She is not as friendly as when he last saw her.

 Meanwhile, Peter, Susan, and Lucy have gone to  The King, Aslan and are now staying at his camp.

 Peter.

 To save his sisters Peter kills a wolf and Aslan knights him.

 Susan.

 The next morning, Edmund is back. They all decide  to stay and help free the Narnians from the White Witch.

 They have to practice.

 A lot.

 Then the White Witch demands a meeting with Aslan. She make it clear that  traitors belong to her, and that Edmund will die.

 Aslan says he will sacrifice himself to save Edmund.

 So that very night, the White Witch kills Aslan on the stone table.

 Peter and his Army faces the Witch alone.

 Aslan comes back to life and saves them.  Peter, Susan, Edmund, and Lucy become Kings and Queens of Narnia. This movie is a family favorite. Perhaps you see why.

Saint Nicholas Day

Hello, lovely readers!  Before we proceed with this post we must tell you some of our history so you will know why we labeled this as "Holidays".  That's right! You see, before we moved to the Sandhills here in Ord, we lived in Aurora. Yes, and before that, we lived in Hungary. I was even born in Hungary! Our parents were missionaries there for ten years! Talk about getting homesick!  Anyway, in Hungary, instead of setting out our stockings on Christmas Eve, we would set out our boots on December 5.  And awake the next morning to find what stuff Santa has left us!

As we were getting out of bed, mother took this photo. We are sorry that it is a bit blurry. And I did steal Marie's boots just in case I would get more from Santa that way.

I was privileged to go first. Much to my disappointment. You know I couldn't help it. Yeah, sure. Well anyway, I got some peppermint Hand Gel, A stuffed lamb, An eight pack nail polish, a shell, a fun cat clip, a necklace, and some stickers ( we forgot to take a photo of those ). 

The first thing I got kind of confused me. I guess it's kind of like a painting, but I just sort of color it, with paint. I also got a chicken puppet, some gum, a heart eraser, a spotted shell, a fun necklace, and a teddy bear. I like the Teddy Bear best.

Soon after I painted my nails. Are they not very pretty?

This is kind of random. Mom took a picture of us both holding our new stuffed animals and our dogs.  Is it not funny how we look so different and yet much the same? Well, I guess that's just how sisters are. I guess so. We better get going! It's about time to decorate our house for Christmas! See you soon!

Changes, Letters and Decorating

 Hi all! Marie and I have decided to make a change. Before this, we have been acting like we didn't have parents and that we were just fine like that. We decided that that's kind of silly, so we won't be doing that anymore.

Today , we ( okay, me ) almost went crazy with excitement over getting a letter from Rissa ( to some, Carissa).

Later, we went over to Addy and Jubilee's house and helped them decorate their tree. Marie took a movie. Check it out!

Our Thanksgiving

 Hi! This is Libby. And this is Marie Grace. We decided that on holidays and  occasions we would both write the posts. I in pink. And me in orange. Anyway, to get on with the post.

 For Thanksgiving, Jubilee, Addy, Libby and I drove down to Aurora to see Kristen and Samantha. 

 After a quick lunch, we all watched A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving and The Mayflower Voyage.

 Very soon after the movie, we got to Skype with our cousins, Carissa and Elizabeth. You mean Fruzzies. I  Skyped with Rissa for the longest time.

 I talked with Elizabeth for a long time as well. All the way to dinner, in fact.

 Right before dinner, we were all asked to say three things we were thankful to God for. Comically, Samantha said: "Family, Friends, and Food!" I really liked that.

 I said; " My Cousins, Good books, and an Imagination."

 I also liked what Jubilee said. "I'm thankful for comfortable clothes, cake, and my dog, Red Ribbon."  She explained later that Addy had  made her wear a fancy dress, since it was a holiday.

 Kristen proclaimed that the things she was most thankful for was their new bench, fall, and that they could all be there.

 Addy said,  "Good food, friends, and God's grace."

 I said, "Movies, unnecessary cute things, and - " reaching down to pet my dog, " I'm thankful for Caramel."

 After that, we had our lovely diner of turkey, stuffing, bunt cake and-

 Pumpkin Pie! Yay!

 The next morning we got up at 5:30 (ugh)  and went to Grand Island for the Black Friday Sale. I took a few photos in Menard's. I got a few Christmas presents. Hmmm.....

 When we got back to Kristen and Samantha's house, we had some lovely Hot Cocoa. Soon, however, it was time to go home. As we began the long drive home, I thought we had never had such a lovely Thanksgiving. I couldn't agree more! What did you do for Thanksgiving?
