Welcome Spring!

Good day pleasant readers! Today, after church Libby found the shell of this egg and I filled it with flowers. One man said it looked artistic.  Anyway, we just wanted to share this little bit of spring with you.
What is Spring like were you live?

St. Patrick's Day with the Walkers

Hi all! Libby here. Yesterday was great. Addy and Jubilee came over and we did lots of stuff (like tag, pictured above).
After playing outside, we all made a leprechaun trap. We didn't put LEPRECHAUN TRAP on it because the leprechauns might see it.
The night before, Marie and I made posters to put up all over the house. I made this one. We tried to think up leprechaun sayings to put on our posters and in the night a leprechaun put the sticky notes on them.
Oh, and we also played hide-and seek outside. Here, Marie-Grace is finding Jubilee. Altogether, it was a great St.  Patrick's day.
How do you celebrate St. Patrick's Day?

Spring is Coming!

Good day pleasant readers! On Sunday (coincidentally the same day the time changed) it turned suddenly warm. It was most delightful to shed our hot winter clothes and wear our light, airy, spring clothes again.
On Sunday (after church) Libby and I strolled to the creek with our dogs. Libby calls it Babbling Brook.
The ice had almost all melted. No ice skating now!
Libby really enjoyed sitting on this log "urging the creek to move along faster".
Libby took this picture of me on the bridge. What a wonderful Sunday we had!
After quickly finishing our schoolwork on Monday, we all piled into the car to go to Kearney. We went because of a milk co-op Mother is a part of. Every five weeks we go to Kearney. The only reson I was taking pictures of my lunch was because I was board.

This was my desert. I'll just say it's a little bit like a chocolate truffle.
This is one of the first things I saw going into our favorite park in Kearney.
Here's me. Just walking along the lovely stone pathways.
The only flaw in this park was that they had not filled up the pond yet. Otherwise it was wonderful.
Here is a very small cave that Libby and I took pictures in.
 Myself....
 and Libby.
Libby took this picture of me on one of the many bridges.
Libby also took this picture of me going up these stone steps.
In turn, I took a picture of Libby on one of the bridges.
This picture was taken in front of a very large stone. Do you like it?
This lighthouse was the last place we went in the park.

I thought this picture was very interesting. It looks almost like a stairway to heaven. Would you agree?
We both really liked the view.

 Isn't it pretty?
 The view coming down.
Isn't this captivating? I certainly found it so.
On the way back to the car, we took many photos. Here are our favorites.

Is the weather like were you live warm or cold?
Do you go to parks very often?

Mardi Gras Masquerade

Hi all! Libby here. Now, I don't know if you've even herd of Mardi Gras. I only know about it from a book I read. This is how the dictionary defined it: a carnival held in some countries on Shrove Tuesday, most famously in New Orleans. Now it just so happens that our friend Liz Miller had also herd of Mardi Gras and had invited us over for a costume party at her house.
Side Note: This is Marie's newest painting. Isn't it pretty?
We all forgot about masks. One simply must have masks at a Masquerade mustn't one? So, I photo edited these masks in.
While Marie-Grace and Liz had a talk...........
I snagged a cookie from the bowl! Yum!
"You know what?" said Liz to Marie, "I read a book about thieving Indians recently. Hem, hem Libby. Why don't you wait for the rest of us?" "Well than," I replied, "Let's dig in!"
"You know," I remarked, grabbing the last cookie, "At the Mardi Gras party I read about, there was dancing."
"Well then," said Liz, trying to sound grand, "We shalt dance." So we swept around the room, tripping over each other's feet.
After that we played a game called "Don't laugh Copycat!" Here are Our best pictures of that.

Before we had to leave, I had a nice long talk with Liz. I always have lots of fun with her.
Did you Celebrate Mardi Gras?
