Welcome!

Good day! Hello. Hi all! We've got two bits of good news today! The first is that I (Jewel) have stared writing on this blog. I think I'm going to enjoy it. The second is much more exciting. Yesterday, our fab cousins Elizabeth, Georgia, and CARISSA flew from FL. To see there blog, click HERE. We will be seeing them on Monday. I CAN"T WAIT!!!! Neither can the rest of us. Agreed. Anyway, we can't wait to see you and are extremely looking forward to it.
Are you close to your cousins?

What to do if you gert a bad gift

Hi all! Today Marie brought in TWO packages from the mail (late birthday gifts).
One had presents from Rissa and Elizabeth, our cousins.
Here's what I did with the wrapping from Rissa's.
In it was a very useful and fun Create-Your-Own Stationary Set. I can't wait to use it!
Elizabeth's contained a shell frame which is really funny because I just got another frame at my party. This one's different though. I'm not sure what to put in it. What do you think I should?
So, I was contentedly popping bubble wrap before Marie reminded me there was another present.
"Boy, is there! It's almost as big as me!" I tore off the wrapping paper and......
"A DOLLHOUSE?! I am WAY to old to play with DOLLHOUSES!
Okay, here's where my two tips come in. 1: Never tell them you hate it. There's got to be something nice about it. Maybe you like the color, or their thoughtfulness, or that they could come to your party. Try and think up SOMETHING nice!
2: Try the thing out! Maybe it's not as bad as you thought. Marie and I found it was lots of fun playing with all the different dolls. It is really, actually great fun!
Have you ever got a "bad" gift?
Do you like to play with dolls or dollhouses?

The last afternoon with our cousins

Good day, pleasant readers! Alas, the time with our delightful cousins has come to a close. A few days before they left, we all went outside in the newly fallen snow. This is what we did.
First, Elizabeth and I went sledding.
Then, it was Chrissa and Libby's turn.
"Liberty and Chrissa, Marie-Grace and I are going to search for a safe place for her to ice skate." said Elizabeth. "Okay!" said Libby cheerfully, "I think Chrissa and I are going to put the sleds back, and then make a snowman!"
 "Yep!"  Agreed Chrissa.
So they built a snowman. It was rather hard, I understand, because the snow was so "dusty."
After all our lovely adventures outside, Elizabeth, Chrissa, Libby and I went inside to enjoy  Nanna's  delicious cinnamon rolls. We all had a memorable time with our cousins and we will miss them very much.
Do you enjoy spending time with your cousins?
P.S. Although we forgot to post about it, on October 28,2013 we went to the Scarecrow Patch with Mary Ellen. It is possible that she and some friends will be coming over this Saturday. Not certain, but possible. Libby just wanted to have you told.

A Very Merry Christmas!

Hello, readers!  This is Libby, by the way.  We had a wonderful Christmas!
We all went down Aurora for Christmas.
 Isn't Nana's tree lovely?
Chrissa and Elizabeth were there, as well as McKenna.
Since we went youngest to oldest, I got to go FIRST!!!!  I excitedly tore into the wrapping paper, and plopped the bow on my head.
"Very festive!" Chrissa complemented me.
 See???????!!!!!!!
Next in line came Chrissa.  She opened Liberty's present to her.
Do you like the notebook?  I made it myself.
McKenna seemed to like the painting I made for her.
 Then, it was my turn.
Elizabeth made me these lovely hat, scarf, and mittens.
Isn't this calender cute?  It was Marie's gift to Elizabeth.
Just then, Addy and Jubilee walked in.  Only a bit late.  Despite the fact, we gave her presents: a pearl necklace from Marie, ...
 ... a watch for Jubilee, ...
 ... A gymnastics painting for Chrissa, ...
... and also a stuffed animal whom Chrissa named "Blossom".
I was most amazed by the gift from Addy and Jubilee, which was a American Girl doll.
 I call her, "Maria".
We also got a bureau from our Grandma and Grandpa.
We enjoyed our Christmas very much, but probably my favorite thing was remembering how Jesus was born.
Merry Christmas!

Saturday with Rissa

Hi all!  Today, I finally got to see my cousins, Chrissa and Elizabeth!  They had been in Aurora, but last night their parents drove them up to see us.
Unlike us, Elizabeth and Marie-Grace were up early, so they made us a yummy breakfast.
"What should we do today?" I wondered as Rissa and I finished up our totally yummy breakfast.  "We can't make mud pies like we did last time you came." (http://thesaltysadollblog.blogspot.com/2013/05/what-we-did-this-week.html)
"How about we do a fashion show?" my resourceful cousin suggested."Elizabeth brought all her fancy dresses."
"Sure, why not?"  I replied.
"Let's pretend to tap dance!"  said my fruzzie, after we put on some fancy dresses.
"But I don't know how to tap dance!" I protested.
"I said 'pretend'." she replied.
We changed dresses a couple of times.
Doesn't the pink dress look like a ball gown on Chrissa?
All this time, Elizabeth and Marie had been talking and talking and talking.
After getting into our normal outfits, we all did each other's hair.  How do we look?  Then we decided to do  a photo shoot outside.
 Starting with my sister, ...
 ... then Elizabeth ...
 ... then myself ...
... and last but not least, my favorite fruzzie Chrissa.
After that, we took pictures together.
How do you spend time with your Fruzzies?
