Valentine's day and a Visit with Old Friends

 Good day pleasant readers! Yeah, Hi! First of all, we are really sorry we haven't posted in a long time but at lest we're posting now right?  Anyway,we are going to tell you about our Valentine's day party and our visit with our old friends, Caraline  and Katie Janssen. Yep, so let's get going!

We had Sagie, Addy, Jubilee,and Liz over on Valentine's day. We invited Alexandra, but she couldn't come. I don't remember why.

 Every one brought food. It was great!

 On Sunday afternoon we drove down to Nanna and Poppa's house. The above and below pictures are from the next day. Schoolwork took a lot less time there. I'm not sure why.

 After finishing our work, Kristen showed us her father's new sword (it wasn't sharp, thank goodness). He bought it at some place called knife cave.

 After that, Kristen and I painted each other's nails while Samantha and Libby talked and ran around. 

 Then something funny happened. Samantha,after flopping down on the bench said : "I can't wait till Katie and Caraline get here. Maybe I'll get a rest."  She breathed in and out deeply, pretending to be exhausted. Marie and I stared at her. Katie and Caraline were old friends from the year were we lived in Aurora. "Oh, I guess we forgot to tell you they were coming, didn't we?" "Well, that's just it. We invited Addy and Jubilee over and forgot to tell you!" I exclaimed, finally finding my voice. After general exclamations of surprise, we all laughed together.

  A little while later, Libby flung up her arms while almost shouting: "Katie, it's soooooooo great to see you again! It's been forever!!!!!! 

 Meanwhile, Marie shook hands with Caraline in a very proper manner.

 Caramel and Vanilla were happy to see Pepper, to!

 Just then, Addy and Jubilee came in and we had introductions.

 We had much enjoyment with everyone there (we even put on a play, although no one bothered to take pictures of it). In other words, we were very sad when they left at six o'clock.

The next day, (after schoolwork) I really wanted to go outside.

We both went. That is, Libby played and I took pictures. On the tire swing.....

Then Libby and I went up to the  tree house and had a long talk about everything and nothing, as only sisters can. Now we are back home. I was really sad to leave Nanna's. So was I, but it is good to be home.

A Snowy Day

 Hi all! Libby here. It finally, FINALLY, snowed here! I've been waiting and waiting and waiting and WAITING!!

 When I woke up, I was SO excited! I wanted to go out right then BUT I needed to do my schoolwork. Ugh.

 It was very, VERY hard to wait.

 And now I have to practice piano to! Oh, we haven't told you that yet, have we? Mom really truly bought a factory second piano  and started me and Marie in piano! I can't believe it! I'm devastated.

 At last I was done.

I decided to make some snow angels.

 I made a few, but then I got cold and went inside. After that, Marie went to the creek to go ice skating. These are the pictures she showed me.

Eventually, even Marie-Grace got cold and came inside.

This is what Marie -Grace did for the rest of the afternoon. I was really surprised when she bought these horses from Second Hand Rose.

I read, and had a great time of it to.

Oh, I forgot to mention, that in the morning, before schoolwork, I was able to go out and take some pictures. Here are my two favorites.

I took this one in honer of Valentine's day coming up. Marie and I have made lots of valentines and am planning on having a valentine's party! But we'll save that for later.

A meal worth having

 Good day pleasant readers! Now, do not think that by this title I mean to brag in any way, for it was I who made my family's lunch yesterday.

 Late this morning, I was reading my history, (and I was almost done I might add), when I herd mother calling me.

 "Marie-grace, would you be willing to make lunch?" "I, Mother?" I asked in surprise, laying down my book,"I've never made a full meal before." "I think you can do it." Mother replied. "All right." I agreed somewhat uncertainly.

 By the way, if you have been wondering were Libby was, she had been invited to spend the morning at Jubilee"s. This was the only picture they bothered to take.

I decided to make spaghetti and muffins. It was harder than I expected.

I did it though!

I'm sad to say, after the food was finished I became rather impatient, waiting for lunchtime. Mother suggested I set the table, centerpiece and all. I had a marvelous time.

When Libby came home, she was surprised to hear I had made lunch. Glancing at the table however, she recoiled. "Wait, is that tea?" Marie, you know I don't drink that." Then she brightened, having noted the smoothie at her place.

Immediately after praying, Libby dug in. "Hey," she exclaimed with her mouth full,"this is really good!"

"Oh, Libby," I laughed , a slight bit shocked at her table manners,"Well, it's time for the second course ." "You're kidding me."said Libby turning towards me. "No".

However, when I served the Warm and Spicy Pumpkin Muffins, Libby made no complaint. In fact, quite on the contrary. "Wow, these are delish!"

"Goodness, Libby." I said, buttering a muffin, "they can't be that good."

"Of course they are!" said Libby, helping herself a second muffin and taking a bite.

"Alright, you two, it's time for the third course." said Mother, standing up. "I didn't prepare a third course." I said, looking up quickly. "I did." she replied, disappearing into the Kitchen.

She soon returned with chocolate  ice cream. What a perfect ending to a perfect meal!

A great day

 Hi all! A few days ago, ( on Tuesday as a matter of fact, ) Marie and I went down to Aurora to see our good friend Samantha. Her sister Kristen was uh, somewhere else. We left at a little after five in the morning (ugh) to drove down there.

 This is the view from the back porch.

 After finishing our school work, we had tacos for lunch. So delish!

 With peanut brittle for desert! Marie and I don't have desert very often, so this was a real treat!

 Marie showed Samantha the ice states she had gotten for her birthday, ( see HERE )..............

 ...............and Samantha showed us a new book she had gotten for Christmas.

 After that we played old maid with some cards I got for Christmas. Marie-Grace won. So unfair!

 Then, while I a played with a little puzzle I had gotten as a prize in Sunday School, Marie showed Samantha her doll, Maria, and the clothes she had made for it.

 " and I think she's soooooo pretty and I love the clothes you made for her!" "Yes, I would have to agree, she's very beautiful." "Oh! I have the Perfect idea! You could take her outside for a photo shot! Even though it's a bit cold, you could work around that." "Yes, that's a lovely idea, I'll do that now."

 Soon after this last photo shot, it was time to go. After a goodbye to Samantha, we were on our way. Here are some sunset photos Marie took on the way back. Aren't they pretty?

 Once we Finally got home there was another special treat waiting for us. A movie!
